Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves . .

As we've progressed through life, we've come to realize that every life has purpose, and writing music which encourages fellow pilgrims in need of a little more peace in their hearts and hope in their lives has become Jerry Williams' purpose.

So, what you'll find here is a collection of music videos featuring songs written and performed by Jerry W. Williams, with a lot of encouragement from his family and a little help from his friends, like Jerry Gibson and Malcolm Penton who help with vocals and instruments, and Wayne Peterson who has created and manages this website on Jerry's behalf. (Though many of the words written on this page and on the music library pages have been penned by Wayne, it is important to understand that the thoughts and sentiments articulated here have come straight from Jerry's heart and mind.)

Jerry explains, "Many of these songs have been with me,

in various stages of completion, for several years. But for a variety of reasons, which I believe most people would instinctively understand, I never took the step of recording them until now.

I am glad you've stopped by, and we hope you feel a little bit better for having visited with us today."

Song writer Jerry W. Williams - who he is and some of the places he's been . .

My people come from Arkansas, but for most of my life I've lived and worked in California.  For many years, I've been blessed to reside with my family in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains near Yosemite National Park.

One of the most impactful experiences of my life was serving my country in Viet Nam 1968 - 69 . . .

Like so many other men and women who have been to war, I served proudly, but have been dealing with the effects ever since.  Quite honestly, it messed me up emotionally, psychologically, and physically.  Even after all these years, peace and healing can sometimes still feel a little elusive, but I never give up hope that things can get better.

So, I guess when I write my songs, I'm writing about what I have experienced - what

I know in my heart to be true.

Veterans are not the only ones suffering. Crushing feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness also plague millions of families in our country, for a variety of reasons.  My songs offer anyone who is hurting, the gift of hope and the promise that "With God in charge . . . things go better."

This is a picture of Jerry on a "senior" field trip with some old high school buddies, all of whom are veterans. Of course, the word "senior" means something different now than it did fifty-something years ago when they were seniors in high school !

The music video "Long Road to Freedom" features several pictures of guys Jerry served with in Vietnam, plus other pictures which pay tribute to the many veterans in his extended family, who proudly served our country.
