"Do You Know the Man" This song is about my Lord Jesus Christ that died for you and me on the cross. He was beaten, spit upon, cursed, laughed at, and whipped. Before he was crucified, he healed the sick, raised the dead, and fed thousands with a small amount of fish and bread. The Pharisees accused him of being from Satan because he was doing impossible things. It is impossible to work our way to heaven, but Christ died for you and me.
When"You Whisper His Name" everything changes. When we are feeling lonely or depressed- whether in a crowd or all by ourselves -our Lord hears our whispered prayer. That simple, honest, heartfelt prayer is more pleasing to God than any carefully crafted prayer recited only in public for others to hear. Song concept by Sandy Gibson; music/lead vocal by Jerry Gibson; lyrical/musical collaboration by Jerry Williams.
"The Lord Will Come Like a Thief in the Night" Who is responsible for making sure You are ready to greet the Lord when he returns in the clouds of glory on the Last Day? Quite simply, You are. Each of us is responsible for ourselves - what we believe and what we do. We can't know the hour or the day he will come; we can embrace his return or we can fear it, but we won't be able to ignore it.
"Walking Each Other Home to Heaven" Jerry's thanks to Sandy Gibson for the song's concept; to Jerry Gibson & Malcolm Penton for their musical talents; and to his lovely wife Arlene who has shared his journey through life for over fifty years. Most pictures feature loved ones who are waiting to walk Sandy, Jerry G., Malcolm, Arlene, and Jerry W. - into Heaven when their journeys finally lead them to their eternal Home.
"Lord, Turn My Life Around" offers hope for veterans with PTSD, but anyone struggling with addiction, abuse, depression, or other problems needs to know God can help them, too. The Father, Son, & Holy Spirit are three in one. Jerry Gibson, who helps with vocal and guitar is pictured with song writer Jerry Williams in this video.
"Why Does My Lord Put Up With Me?" It's true that we are free to choose our own actions; but it is also true that we cannot control the consequences of those actions. In our heart, we know who we are and how badly we sometimes behave. In those times when we are alone with our thoughts, we just have to wonder why God even puts up with us. God is good.
"Lord, Thank You For Not Giving Up On Me" Life can get so tough sometimes that we just want to give up and quit. It's likely that everyone feels that way at one time or another, but what a shame it would be if we give up on ourselves when God hasn't given up on us - regardless of our circumstances.
"Bow Down and Praise His Name" was inspired by the experience that stirred the heart of this Viet Nam veteran to acknowledge the power God has to change lives, even when everything seems to be messed up. Every individual's experiences are different, but life is challenging for all of us. God believes in us whether we believe in Him or not.
